Everything you need to know about Jimten siphon traps
The siphonic canister is that great little ally that connects all the bathroom drains (shower, sink, bidet, bathtub...) and carries them to the general downspout, preventing bad odors from coming back through the pipes.
It is installed embedded in the floor, saving space, and its stainless steel cover allows quick access for maintenance. In small bathrooms, you can also use it as a shower drain by simply replacing the cover with a grating.
For installations in low slabs or with dry outlets, Jimten offers solutions with aeration valves that protect the hydraulic seal and prevent overflow. These valves incorporate a silicone gasket that opens at low vacuum (3 to 24 mm wcf), letting air in and blocking the return of odors. In addition, they are resistant to common bathroom chemicals.

Prevents odor problems in the bathroom
Do you install in thin slabs? Then you must be familiar with low level siphon traps (such as the S-153). They are ideal for such cases, but beware: being so close to the slab, they are more prone to unbaiting if there are depressions in the downspout.
And what happens if the can is unprimed? Well, odors start to come out of the bathroom... and solving it without doing any work can be a headache.
Fortunately, there are siphon traps with an aeration valve. They have a silicone gasket that opens when there is a vacuum (between 3 and 24 mm wc), letting air in and protecting the hydraulic seal. In addition, this gasket withstands perfectly the typical cleaning products used in the bathroom. Professional quality, designed to make your work easier.
One of our most popular products is the siphonic canister lid with aeration valve, which has gained great recognition among installers.
If you want to see how this works in practice, Aquilino Manitas explains it to you in this video.
